ImTranslator: Web Page Translation

ImTranslator: Webpage Translation translates an entire webpage between 66 languages (add-on for Firefox) and 91 languages (extension for Chrome) using Google Translate service.
Webpage Translation tool is included in ImTranslator add-on for Firefox  and ImTranslator Extension for Chrome.

 

To translate a web page in the Firefox browser, choose ImTranslator: Webpage Translation from:

  • Firefox Tools, ImTranslator menu
  • ImTranslator button on the Firefox toolbar
  • Firefox context menu
  • or use the hotkey Alt+P (default)

To translate a webpage in the Chrome browser, choose "Translate this page to" a selected language from the right-click context menu "ImTranslator: Translation, Dictionary, TTS".

The right-click context menu provides the choice of a webpage translation mode:

  • translate an entire web page
  • mouseover translation of the text segment

When you choose the Mouseover translation mode, hover your mouse over the original text, and the translation for the highlighted segment will be displayed in an pop-up bubble.

ImTranslator add-on for Firefox can be downloaded from the Mozilla’s official add-ons site.

 

 

ImTranslator extension for Chrome can be downloaded from Chrome Web Store:

To run the Webpage Translation:

  • select Web Page Translation from the right-click context menu (Firefox)
  • select "Translate this page to" from the right click ImTranslator: Translator, Dictionary, TTS menu
  • use the hotkey Alt+P (Firefox)
  •  use ImTranslator: Web Page Translation from ImTranslator button on the Firefox toolbar

Web Page Translation translates an entire webpage using Google Translation service.

To translate a webpage in the Firefox browser, choose ImTranslator: Web Page Translation from the Firefox Tools, ImTranslator menu

Or, from ImTranslator button on the Firefox toolbar

 

Or, from the right-click context menu.

 

You may also use the hotkey Alt+P (set by default).

To translate a web page in Chrome, choose “Translate this page to” a selected language from the right-click context menu “ImTranslator: Google Translate”.

 

The right-click context menu provides the choice of a web page translation mode: translate the entire web page or mouseover translation.  In this menu you can change the translation language.

When you choose the Mouseover translation mode, hover your mouse over the original text, and the translation for the highlighted segment will be displayed in an pop-up bubble.

 

The right-click context menu allows you to change the translation language using the "Change language" menu.

You can also change the translation language from the translation toolbar on the top of the page.

 

Please not that Web Page Translation tool can only translate non-secure pages.
