ImTranslator and Translator Applications

What is the difference between ImTranslator and Translator applications in ImTranslator extension for Firefox?

ImTranslator extension for Firefox includes a number of translation applications  to accommodate various translation preferences: ImTranslatorPop-up Bubble, Inline TranslatorTranslator, and  Webpage Translation.

Translator and ImTranslator applications are standalone applications with different language tools.

Translator was the first application launched in 2005,  more than 11 years ago, as a Firefox extension.  It translated between a limited number of languages and integrated advanced languages tools: virtual keyboard, online spellchecker, multilingual dictionary, Russian decoder and transliteration, back translation, printing and email options.

Now the Translator application translates between more than 90 languages using 3 translation providers. It includes the following language tools : virtual keyboard, online spellchecker, multilingual dictionary, Russian decoder and transliteration, back translation, printing and email and keeps its familiar look.

Later on, we decided to upgrade this application to the more advanced version ImTranslator with multiple translation providers, advanced language detection engine, more supported languages, and built-in Google Dictionary.
