Paralink Translator

Paralink Translator was released in February 2010 and offered instant translation of words, phrases and texts between 52 languages.

This service imitating the look of ImTranslator Portal, has the same language capabilities as the said translation service: multilingual text input, dictionary, translation, spellchecker, Russian encoding and transliteration, text-to-speech, back translation, print and mailer. No account is necessary.

Paralink Translator implements the following auto functions: language detection, spellchecker, decoder, dictionary and back translation. These functions, if checked, automatically run speller, Russian decoder, identify the language on-the-fly and implement the reverse translation.

In March 2011 more online translation providers were added: Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Babylon Translator, which allow users to try different online translation engines. Upon completing the translation, you can print the translation, and send it by email.

The current version of Paralink Translator allows you to input text in over 40 languages using the virtual keyboard, check the spelling in 8 languages, look up words and phrases in the dictionary in 8 languages, translate between 52 languages, convert an unreadable Russian text into the standard Cyrillic encoding, transliterate Russian text into Latin characters, listen to the original text and its translation in 10 languages, translate back to the original language, print translation and send email right from the translation window.

Paralink Translator provides instant translation of words, phrases and texts between 52 languages powered by four translation providers: Translation, Google Translate, Microsoft Translator and Babylon.

Just enter text for translation, choose the translation direction and click Translate.If you check the "auto detect box, Paralink Translator will automatically identify the language of the entered text.

The translator supports basic editing functions: Copy, Paste, Cut, Delete and Font size.

Type, paste or drag-n-drop text in the Original text window.

The virtual keyboard or special characters library allow you to enter text not supported by your computer. The Virtual keyboard supports over 40 different language layouts.

You can enter texts by clicking on the virtual keyboard or by using the physical keyboard. The virtual keyboard intercepts the physical keyboard to allow you typing the familiar way.

The built-in spellchecker checks spelling of the input text. The spellchecker supports English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish languages.

Check the auto "Spellchecker" box to allow the spellchecker run automatically when clicking on Translate button. It is highly advised to check spelling of the input text before the translation to get the best translation results. The misspelled text cannot be translated accurately.

The built-in dictionary can serve as a multilingual reference source if you need to look up alternative translations of the words, or words without translation.

The dictionary provides the translation of single words, common phrases and idiomatic expressions for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish and their combinations.

The Russian Decoder converts an unreadable Russian text into standard Russian characters.

Check mark the auto "Decoder" box to run the decoder automatically. The Decoder is synchronized with the selected language pair.

The Russian decoder can transliterate the translation to display the Russian translation in Latin characters.

The back translation feature, if checked, translates the target text back to the original language.

This is an easy way to check the accuracy of the translation, and adjust the original text to get more understandable translation result.

Click on "Say It" button to listen to the original text or its translation. Supported languages are American English (male and female), Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and European Spanish.

The built-in audio player replays the text as many times as desired. The pronounced segments are synchronously highlighted, which makes it easier to follow.

The Print command will print the contents of the original or translation windows.

Depending on your selection you can print out original, translation or bilingual text.

Send emails directly from the the translator window.

You have a choice to send the translation only or add the original text as a reference.
