I am an English teacher in South America

I am an English teacher in South America (a Brit living here) and I have a few comments about your site. In the main, I think it is very good. However, it is not English, it is American. You should be proud of the American language - it is English which has developed for America. However, it no longer conforms to English rules or English spelling. The base form of English is British English and other countries (such as America) have slanted it to their own requirements. If you are learning a subject, you need to learn the base form. This site is very confusing for my English-learning students. Perhaps as a contradiction to the above, you do not show South-American Spanish which is, of course, Spanish from Spain which has developed into South-American Spanish. Regards Mia Eastwood
